New Server IP Address

We are moving our AS400 JDE system to a new network and will not be able to have the same IP address. I believe all I have to do is make sure DNS knows the server name and new IP address, maybe flush the DNS on the workstations. Are there any other concerns I should have? I am pretty sure that JDE dosn't store the IP address anywhere so, as long as the network knows the right IP address I should be good to go.

You don't say what release you are on, so I'll have to assume you have some fat clients somewhere that use Client Access (or iSeries Access). For these clients (and the Deployment Server too), you should check to see how the Client Access connections are configured. Are they hard coded, or are they set to look up the address automatically?

I think that may be the one thing you might have overlooked.

Dont forget to check each boxes' host file - just to make sure the IP isn't hard coded there...
