UBE processes w better results on fat client than Entr server

We have a custom UBE that ties into the EDI processes for purchasing /invoicing /receiving. The initial UBE kicks off R470412, R47071, R47131, and R47003. What we are noticing is that when this job is processed on our Enterprise server, it occasionally gets errors in the same area. When this job is ran locally on a fat client, the job runs flawlessly.
The versions are set to process on a single-threaded queue, so I don't know why this could be happening.
The object was part of the same update package build, and has since been part of a full package update/install and this same package is on all machines. Any ideas?

Some ideas, but it depends.

What is your platform, version, service pack, etc? If it's AS400, sounds like it could be a SQLPKG issue.

Also go thru the logs generated on server which can give you more info on what is going wrong on server.
