Hi,

I want to move the FTP services supporting Media Objects to a different server. This is to provide better redundancy and DR/BC support.

Assume the following:

1) I have built a windows file share and FTP server with proper anonymous access modeled after what is working today on different server.

2) I copy the entire folder structure and permissions from the current FTP server to the new FTP server.

3) In the Administration screen I change all the Media Object queues to point to the new server name.

4) I restart all the HTTP\JAS server(s) instances ( opmnctl stop , then start ).

Questions:

Will the enterprise server need to be restarted?

Is there something else that needs to be changed or restarted that I am missing?

Will old links be broken on the new server, are the links relative to enterprise server queue entries.

Thanks in Advance

Cheers,

I have previously done this, without need to restart JDE service (F98MOQUE is a system table and it is refered for each action related to MO in system )
i would prefer to perform this task when there is no user activity in system.

Regards,
Ashutosh
