You're nuts....

Actually - I was wondering about how Oracle is going to upset SAP over Java licensing now. Luckily Java made their JDK Open Source in 2007 - so its no w protected in the community - had that NOT happened=2C Larry could have ju st decided to stop companies like SAP from using Java unless they paid a fo rtune !!!

we use Cognos - it's been in place and growing for over eight years now.

Hi.

We use Formscape. This could be integrated with JD Edwards in different ways, we use it as a virtual printer, and all our reports print to this printer with PrintInmediate=True, then the Formscape process the report, and the user receives it by email.

With this software you can do such things as to deliver to different receivers by different methods (fax, email, print, etc), ie: we print a lot of invoices in one shot, and create separate documents, archive them in an archive folder, and send by mail to customers and by postal mail to others, etc.

We use GL Inquiry. It lays on top of JDE and uses the same security (not passwords). Great for financials - very fast. Does not use custom tables yet, but my understanding is newer version in development will. Inexpensive when compared to other solutions but not a BI tool like COGNOS.

We recently started using ReportsNow. It also uses JDE row and column security and you can add additional security within it. It's written specifically for JDE too. You can get more information and a free trial at www.reportsnow.com.
