Install using ID other than JDE (i.e., jde900)?

We have an environment where every userID across all platforms is shared. We are attempting to install E1 9.0 but we already have a live installation of JD Edwards Xe in another department. We cannot use the JDE userID because the Xe installation is using it and they are in production.

Is there a way we can install this E1 9.0 system (running Installation Workbench) by using an ID other than JDE? Can we somehow use 'jde900'?

Please advise immediately as we are at a 'stand still' until we resolve this.

Thanks,
James

E1 9.0 seems harsh in this regard. We tried changing the JDE password from JDE to something else, and it seems there are places where the JDE user and password are hard coded, and it must be JDE/JDE in order to run without asking for a data source login all the time.

I'm afraid you may not have much choice until you are able to turn on security services. Is there a way to isolate the machines until the initial install is done?
