E1 8.9 Web \"binary2Object\" errors/COULD NOT LOAD FORM

Getting a " binary2Object" on 8.9 web which usually indicates a java mismatch but my INtel WAS server is 6.0.2.21 and the generation box is WAS Express 6.0.2.X which both use 1.4.2.

This error manifests itself on the user interface with the error"COULD NOT LOAD FORM - Please use the latest Java generator to regenerate the following application".

Tried using both classes12 and odbc14 but that didn't work (delete SO tables between). Also had tried sequential generation with no success.

Database is Oracle 10.2.0.4

Anyone have any ideas on where to look next?

I think we had this error when we were upgrading. There was a mismatch between the actual Tools Release and the JAS Server foundation level.
