Purchase Order Entry with No Supplier Master

Platform: OneWorld Xe -

I have a query concerning Purchase Order Entry (Distribution).

I have added a new Address Book Entry (999) via P01012.

I have added the Customer Master details for this Address Book reference, but I have NOT created a Supplier Master.

OneWorld allows me to proceed to enter a Purchase Order (P4310) for this supplier, without giving me an error (or even a warning) that I do not have a supplier master in place. I can continue through Purchase Receipts. It is only when I try to Voucher Match that I see an error telling me that the Supplier Master is not in place.

I cannot see a Process Option behind P4310 that allows me to prevent order entry - surely I am missing a trick?

How can I prevent a user entering a Purchase Order for an address book entry that does not have a Supplier Master?

I would be most interested to know this also. The lack of the supplier master record only shows up when you attempt to create a voucher, then it won't let you proceed without creating the supplier master record.
