Re-License Server and Clients

Re-licensed our deployment server per Oracle Solution ID: 200953992 to recover lost licenses. Expected users to receive security violation (P98SEC) upon log-in to relicense. Oracle states user will only receive security violation if deployment server license has reached expiration. Issue is if users can log in to EO without re-licensing workstation, they will, causing more issues with package deployments, etc. We have 400 fat clients. Anyone else experience and/or solve this issue?

I believe if you delete the workstation name from the Machine Identification program they will be prompted to get a new license when they login next time. You might want to try it out with a couple select PCs.

You could try deleting the JDEAUTH.DDB and JDEAUTH.XDB files from the workstations C: drive (they are hidden files). This file retains the license.
