Proactive CNC tasks you\'re doing?

I have been tasked with defining a list of proactive tasks that should be/could be/aught to be done from the CNC side. Other than setting up SAW or Server Manager to send email alerts when certain performance metrics are crossed what are other things are other CNC folks out there doing "proactively?" Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

Re: Proactive CNC tasks you\'re doing?

Hi,

Here's my list.

1. Searching for ESUs, ASUs and JDE Service Packs that
might solve current issues or enhance performance.
2. Searching for WAS, OAS, OS, DB and C fixes and service
packs to be installed to enhance performance or stability
3. Run db diagnostic and tuning tools
4. Cleanup logs, temp folders, temp tables, etc
5. Keep technical documentation updated
6. Meet regularly with users and listen carefully to
their comments on JDE performance, stability & "wish list".
7. Run hardware diagnostic tools once a month to identify
faulty memory chips, fans, disks, controllers, etc before
they lead to a disaster
