At the end of a production run, all raw materials need to be returned to the warehouse. Before the raw material stock can be transferred back, the work order hard commitments need to be removed.
There are two options:
1. Go into the parts list and clear the lot and location fields. This moves the commitment to the primary location. This is time consuming and users are having trouble finding the source of the commitment.
2. Run the R3190.
Oracle recommends that R3190 is not run during business hours. My question is, in your experience, do organisations still do it? Are there any risks involved with running it while other users are running R31410 to hard commit work orders?
