Upgrade from XE to E1 8.12

We are planning for upgrade from OneWorld XE to E1 8.12
and looking for Module by Module list of changes to be done and any field mapping or data conversio issues.
Financial / Distribution / Manufacturing modules are involved.

See attachment. Start reading from Xe to 8.12 (ignore the World to Xe stuff). That is from 3.2 Release 8.0 page 50.

We are currently upgrading from Xe to 8.12. There are many table changes that are going cause you much pain. Example, the F42119 column SDLT has be removed. First time I have seen a column removed. There is a document that shows all the table changes from Xe to 8.12. Sorry, I am not at work, or I would attach the document. Good luck and happy debugging.

I've spent a lot of time on the iLearing site (ilearning.oracle.com) taking online courses and trodding through seminars - I noticed several items on Net-Change within.

There are also net-change docs in the E1 Document area in the Customer Connection (I'll try to spy the crumbs to get you to the right spot).

I'll add my request. We are planning for upgrade from OneWorld XE to E1 8.12 or 8.11. Need docs and suggestions of why 12 vs 11.

I presume you're asking "why 8.12 vs 8.11".

Find attached all the Xe to 8.11 net change documentation, together with the 8.12 release notes (that determines the differences between 8.11 and 8.12)

Find a Technical Implementation Specialist for your upgrade. Don't try and take this on yourselves. I have been known to fix bid upgrades from Xe to 8.12...

Regarding your question, E811 and E812 are pretty much the
same from the functional point of view.
On the other hand what I love the most of E812 is not
running WebGen anymore, I really appreciate this new
feature SpecOnDemand generation that comes with E812.

Well for the most part you are correct; I am certainly not CNC certified. However there are significant enhancements in 8.l2 in the EDI processing area. For instance much of the outbound ASN processing has been consolidated and streamlined; a huge improvement. Insignificant to many, but oh so critical to some! <smile>.
