Has anybody install Microsoft's cumulative Update 6 yet? We have been experiencing several performance issues around several tables with large data counts. Oracle told us one of the issues we are experiencing is a Microsoft issue and the fix would be included with SP2 of SQL 2005. After taking SP2 the performance issues remained the same. The bug is around the read-ahead on read only cursors. It appears Microsoft now has a fix for it in CU6. Because this update has several other interesting fixes "features" I wanted to check and see if anybody else has applied CU6 yet or if you are aware of any issues with taking it.
