Unified Logon with JAS

Hi All,

I seem to be getting mixed messages. Per Oracle's Solution SOLUTION ID: 201011548 E1: There is no 'Unified Login' configuration that you can set up to work with JAS.

However, based on previous posts on this List, there seems to be the suggestion that this is possible on JAS. Any clarification would be appreciated.

"Unified Logon" is a proprietary executable which installs on a Windows Enterprise Server and runs as a service. It is functionally equivalent to "Single Sign-on", however they aren't the same animal.

Yes you can implement Single Sign-On wih JAS, but no it is isn't as easy as running "UniLogonSetup.exe", adding groups and configuring the Enterprise Server and Fat client to implement. Almost, but not quite.

Yes it can be and has been done. Yes, the end result is essentially the same as a "Unified Logon" config, but even better when you have multiple "partner" applications which also participate in the SSO schema you define.
