HR and Payroll applications on JAS in 8.9

All,

We are having an issue with many HR and Payroll applications running on the web client during our implementation of those modules. We have downloaded and applied ALL 05,07 and 08 system code ESUs. Everything works fine if logged into the fat client into the JDV9 environment, so I doubt it's a mapping issue. We get various errors, one of the most common is a pop up that states "Unable to find the Control referenced by the ER specification". There are other errors, but I would like to get 1 resolved. Nothing shows up in the logs, just a web browser pop up. And, like I said before everything works fine in the fat client.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

What is your Tools release?
WebSphere or OAS? What SP level?
Are your Web clients running on IE or FireFox?

I apologize for not including this information:

We are on Tools Release 8.94O.

We are on WebSphere 5.0.2.

We are running on IE6.

All Servers are Sun Unix/Oracle 9i.

Matthew

Hi Matthew,

Please, check the following :

1. Your WAS server has the most current WAS Fix Pack
(according to JDE MTRs)
2. The same for your JDBC drivers
3. Check that all your Web clients are on IE 6.0 SP1
4. Have you read the WebGen logs? They may give a hint.

On the other hand, I had a customer on 8.94P1 + WAS 5.0.2
and most of their Web problems were solved or alleviated
after going to 8.96.1.3 on WAS 6.0.2.21
There are significative improvements from WAS 5 to WAS 6,
the same goes for Tools 8.96
