Query regarding connectivity

How to establish the connectivity between Enterprise
server & Deployment server(to check if they are really connected)?

What type of server is your Enterprise server? There are a number of ways to do that....if you can build packages then your servers are communicating....you can do ODBC direct connectiont to talbes, you can UNC for Windows, you can have your network folks run a trace etc.etc etc.

If there is a security server specified in the JDE.INI file and you can login to the DEP811 (DEPxxxx) environment then you should be "connected". You could also test by creating a user and make sure that they show up in the F0092 table.

Hi,The Enterprise server is windows machine (Win 2003 R2) and Deployment server has Windows 2003 R2 version.
Database is SQL server 2000.

Yes this is a new install.The E1 server is windows machine (Win 2003 R2) and Deployment server has Windows 2003 R2 version.
