Has anyone gotten Development tools to work on a WIN98 machine ?

OW 733.1 SP 7

My understanding is that OneWorld development should only be done on a
Windows NT machine. Check the pre-requisites in the KG.

Don't even try. Getting something to "work" is a relative term. I've run
FDA/RDA for a short time on a 95 machine - very short. Our experience is
that OW as a whole requires NT. JDE tells you to use NT for all
development. You personnally would be much happier using NT rather than
frequent boots to clear memory in the Win9x environment.
Won't your management spring for an adequate development machine after
spending all those bucks on OneWorld?

Are you sure you have C++ installed?? Also - check the version of C++.

Kris,

I have to echo the sentiments of our fellow listers. Development Tools work
just fine on WIN98, but only for a limited period of time. You will find
your developers quite frustrated back the deterioration in performance over
the course of a day with an added bonus of machine lock-up or blue screen at
the most inopportune moments. JDE recommends NT for a reason...it works!
