Web Saw give security error only on some options?

Hello all,

My web saw, returns "SAW administrative rights required to perform requested action. "

When I try to preform any of the Work with JDBj features? I can clear the menu cache with no problem but I can do these other cache refresh features.

Any idea?

The message is correct. Your user ID must be granted rights before you can clear cache from the JDBJ section of SAW.

You need External Call security to SERVERADMINISTRATIONWORKBENCH.EXE. This must be granted to specific user profiles. It won't work if granted to a group or role.

Yep, I put a case in with Edwards and got the same answer. My problem was I had the illusion that user role/group security would grant this access. Hahaha. What an illusion. I asked for a low priority SAR be created for it. It works with user security, you just have to know the WEB SAW doesn't check group security. Thanks for being right though, glad someone else notice it.
