Promised Shipment Date set to system date

Hi,

Is it correct to have the promised shipment date set to the system date when crediting an order.

My expectation would be the promised shipment date to have exactly the same date as on the original order. (I noticed that this problem occurs only when the promised shipment date on original order is in the past). The promised delivery date also has the same behaviour.
It looks like the system is re-calculating the promised shipment and delivery date when crediting takes place.

Is this functionally correct?

I'm using JDE XE B7333
