Package inf folder on the deployment server deletes files so you cannot see the package when installing on a fat client. We are not deleting these manually.
We have been on Xe since 2001 and lately i started having the problem, of the package inf on the deployment server disapperaing, the package that i build and deploy successfully but after a few days the package just disappears off the insall list and i cannot install on 2nd machine. Funny thing is after i deployed the pkg i had installed on one fat client for testing and after a few days i went to install the pkg on another PC and it disappears. ALT_S showed me the planner pkgs but not the ESU package which i needed. Yes, had to reset rebuild and deploy to get around this one. This is happening all the environments.
We are on Xe SP 23_K1 update 7 and using DB2/400
Not sure if there is an easy way to resolve this issue.
