Stapling with Create!Form

Is anyone out there automatically stapling their JDE / Create!Form output as it's printed?

What version of Create!form are you using? To automatically staple documents you would need a printer capable of this function. Then within Create!form you would need to use the page styles to dictate the tray to select that handles the stapling. You will also need to create a tray mapping file for the printer as well. Depending on the version of Create!form the steps indicated above differ. For the stapling functionality the tray selected dictates the position of the staple on the document.

I agree with WWilliamson, more information is needed. It should be as simple as described but it depends on your configuration (type and configuration of the printer, JDE World or E1 output, Cform version/configuration, etc.).

One additional question for you; outside of Cform and JDE software - using something simple like MS Word. Can the printer staple a multi-page document for you? If yes, I'd assume that you have to specify something via the printer driver to do that. It will be similar to get Cform to send output to the printer and invoke stapling.
