Good afternoon friendly JDE-rs,
I'm in the process of trying to perform a holistic assessment of a JDE OneWorld (8.0) segregation of duties. Historically, I am much more familiar with JDE World 7.3, so many of the technical change management-type features that were added in the updates are foreign to me.
To that end, as I'm identifying conflicting responsibilities, I'm also trying to understand each program and what it really does. I don't want to restrict access just because an auditor says so; I'd like to know what the heck I'm giving people. I've run up against a program, P00945 (Work with Release Master), that I can't really say I fully understand. I've reviewed the OneWorld help notes, but haven't found a new-admin explanation of what this program does, as opposed to say the OMW. As best I can tell, its simply for deploying packaged releases provided to me by J.D. Edwards; are there any customizations you can perform using this program?
