Aust and NZ Oracle Consulting

This one is mainly for Australia and New Zealand.

Does anyone know what is happening with consulting work provided by Oracle for JD Edwards EnterpriseOne applications?

We used them once to fix a bug and they logged in from USA. For mods or CNC help we use HP or Fusion5.

Update:

I attended our local Quest User Group last week. It was mentioned during the course of the meeting that Oracle (at least in Australia) are no longer seeking JDE consulting business. If asked, they will provide it. In addition IBM (at least in Australia) is now providing a JDE consulting service.

Tomorrow now are trying to get JDE work in Australia and NZ as well. They haven't phoned you yet?

TomorrowNow contacted us at the beginning of the year. We declined there offer of support.

Oracle in Australia and NZ appear to have had some personnel changes recently. We are quite happy with the support we've been getting from HP who bought Cap Gemini and use a few independent contractors for programming changes. Fusion 5 are trying to grow their customer base and support personnel. They've got some good CNC people.

Do not feel alone in this predicament, as Oracle in EMEA are letting people go from there consulting side and not replacing them either. Again they are pointing to the Business Partner community to fill the gap. It would appear to be a deliberate change in policy, maybe our American cousins can enlighten us on the situation there also.
