Hi colleagues! Need a help from SQL guru.

I've Just bought new notebook (XP, not Vista) and faced a problem with installation of 8.12 Standalone. BaseComponents + MSDE installation completes succesfully. But during Data Components installation an Installation manager stops with error.

MS SQL produced a log:
2007-10-07 11:38:57 - ? [129] SQLAgent$JDELOCAL starting under Windows NT service control
2007-10-07 11:38:57 - + [260] Unable to start mail session (reason: No mail profile defined)
2007-10-07 11:38:57 - + [396] An idle CPU condition has not been defined - OnIdle job schedules will have no effect
2007-10-07 11:48:05 - ! [LOG] Unable to read local eventlog (reason: The data area passed to a system call is too small)
2007-10-07 11:50:59 - + [LOG] Successfully re-opened the local eventlog - NOTE: Some events may have been missed
2007-10-07 12:13:30 - ? [131] SQLAgent$JDELOCAL service stopping due to a stop request from a user, process, or the OS...
2007-10-07 12:13:32 - ? [098] SQLServerAgent terminated (normally)

What can cause such error??? DrWatson is turned off but an error still there..
Could the small size of eventlog file cause such error??

Hi guys!

Please note that XP Home Edition is different somewhere inside...

I've solved my problem by installing a XP Professional Edition at first. After it - absolutely no problems with JDE, everything works absolutely fine
