Spreadsheet Server for JDEdwards

I am doing some research on Spreadsheet Server for JDE. Is there anyone using this tool for Xe version of JDE Enterprise One?

Any advice would be appreciated.

We are using it for 811. Its a pretty good product, our accounting team loves it. It did create alot of table locking on MS SQL, so we had to create a repository of the production database on another SQL server.

So, can you go after any table in the database or just links to the G/L?
I imagine it queries the DB and ports the information into Excel using the Add-on tool.

I'm pretty certain you can configure it to hit any table; I would check with Global though before you buy.

We've recently started using it for 8.9 and it seems to work o.k. I did not see a way to add other tables though. It seems that you can change existing names, but I am not sure what that does in the background.
