8.12 Standalone install on Vista?

Has anyone successfully installed the standalone version of EnterpriseOne 8.12 on Vista.
It seems MSDE is not compatible with Vista. I am currently trying with the MSSQL Express 2005 Edition.
any pointers in this direction will be appreciated.

We haven't even tried to run SQL Express as the datasource, but having used it there are a few things I would suggest in trying it. By default TCP/IP communications are not turned on and must be configured. With 2005, SQL Server uses NativeClient so you must configure TCP/IP if you want to get the 1433 functionality that you are used to on the older stuff. You may also want to run the Instcat.sql file from the last MSDE service pack on the install to make sure that it has all the procedures that JDE relies on for some of the calls it makes are present.

Let us know how it goes as it would be nice to see how it works. Perhaps next week I will fire up a VM and take it for a spin and see what I come up with.
