i am setting up row security (on 8:10 system Tools Release 8.94 H) using the Inclusive model. I have specified ranges I only want the user to see (I'll use numbers to keep it simple):
F98611 1 - 1 yyyy - from datasource 1 to 1 full access
F98611 3 - 6 yyyy - from datasource 2 to 6 full access
F98611 9 15 yyyy - from datasource 9 to 15 full access
F98611 21 25 yyyy - from datasource 21 to 25 full access
following the principal that no row security means full access on this table, the security above should mean that datasources 2,7,8,16,17,18,19 and 20 should have no access. The reality is that the middleware ignores the first range. The sql generated does not have the between statemnt for the first range only for the subsequent ranges.
Row security for Business Units, Company works as expected.
I am aware that for web users F98611 is one of those 'bootstrap' tables that should not have row security applied to it but I have seen other systems 8:11 where there is DATP security where both Fat Client and Web users exist. Seems to work ok.
Can someone give me some advice on how/if DATP row security or any F98* tasble should be applied.
