Job Number ( jobnbr) in Submitted Jobs ( F986110 ) always 0

This post relates to my first post regarding issues with sp23_r1:
http://www.jdelist.com/ubb/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=121825&page=2&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1

We tried to apply sp23_r1 coming from sp22_o1 on an as/400 V5R2. Once we applied the service pack everytime we submitted a job the jobnumber field (jobnbr) in the F986110 came back as zero. When we submitted the next job we get an error saying the job could not submit, and interestingly JDE will run whatever job is in the F986110 with the jobnumber of 0 again and update that record with the new date and time.

Any idea's?

Aaron

Hi,

Two questions :

1.Have you built and deployed a full package after installing SP23?
2.Have you cleared *SQLPKG files (except those Q*) and
bounced services after upgrading SP?

thanks for the reply.

No we did not build a full package after the install (we only had a window of 8 hours to install the sp before production needed JDE back so there was not time to build a full package).

We did bounce services many times and cleared all JDE sqlpkg's each time.

Hi,

You can either build and deploy a full package
or run the LINKBSFN utility which will relink all your
*SRVPGM with the new Service Pack binaries.
Personally, I prefer to run a full package and be sure
that everything runs ok; though if you're in hurry
LINKBSFN is fine too.
Your problem may come from BSFN X0010 (Get Next Number)
if it hasn't been re-compiled or re-linked under the
new SP tools release.

We ran the linkbsfn. (both pathcodes) So that should have taken care of it.
