General Ledger Post Report

Dear List,

I've got a user using Voucher Journal Review (P0011). When they submit a GL
post the R09801 is supposed to run and post these transactions. The UBE
launches but the Job stays at a status of waiting. We are on B733.2, Oracle
8.1.6, Intel/NT. We are now on SP13.1. This has worked for the past 3 days
on SP13.1. Previously we were on SP11.1, however this does not seem to be SP
related since it's been tested to death.

Thanks in advance for your help

Colin,

Check your ledger master P0025. We also had an issue with the GL Post.
When we refreshed the environment, the data was deleted and not rebuilt.
Therefore, none of the GL Post programs would run. When I rebuilt the
table, everything was fine.

Ah-ha! I think your problem may really be SP13.1..I insalled SP13.1 last
week and only now are errors starting to come out of it. One of which is
AR/GL posting (R09801). There is a business function which bombs out on the
server (Receipt post/B03b0067). There is a sar dead-on with the description
of the problem (SAR#4639733), but there is no fix posted as of yet. To get
around this, I installed a fat client for a user and ocm'd the report to run
locally, and it is ok..but this is just a work-around, and is not a viable
solution for our remote users....anyone else have this problem since going
to SP13.1? (BTW we are NT/SQL 7/B733.2), previously on SP11.1

Could SP13.1 really be affecting GL? What other stuff will break in the next
week? I actually don't think it was SP13.1 because no UBE's/reports were
running! I solved this temporary problem by rebooting our Enterprise Server
(Oracle/NT). I think the problem may have been caused by a runaway table
conversion that a Developer was writing that launched a 'runbatch.exe' on
the Enterprise Server. This process athough stopped at the OW level
continued to run for hours on the database and as an NT process. Here's just
one more reason to seperate the Development from the Production
Server/Database.

Thanks for the suggestions

Colin,
We are running B7332, SP10, on a AS/400. I think we have experienced the
same thing you did. Last week for some reason our UBE's/reports would not
submit, it would stay at a waiting stage. JDE had us restore our RDASPEC's
on the AS/400 and that seemed to work.

Maybe this helps.
