Roles Question - upgrade Tools Release

We're currently on 8.9 SP2 and I'm investigating upgrading the tools release to 8.96. Our main problem is our security design. We have multiple roles per user. Some of the roles are purely task views and others are for security workbench. It was designed this way to give maximum flexibility.

With SP2, you were able to log in as *All and able to access all roles. I believe in 8.96, you can only log in with one role, then you can switch to other roles.

Our problem is that our security will not work using any one role (unless it's CNCADMIN!).

We do not have the resources or the time to redesign the security. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to overcome this problem so that we can upgrade?

You can still logon with *ALL with 8.96. The Application Security is combined where there is no conflict. The only slight issue is that the Task Views do not follow this ie. You'll see the task views for the role that is highest in your sequence. Although this isn't a major issue as you can still 'switch' between roles. Again, this doesn't affect the Application Security - it's purely tasks.
