Password expiration

We have set the value 90 for the parameter Password Change frequency. application P980WSEC form W980WSECI

According to you what is supposed to happen the day 91.

Is the user forced to changed password ? Is the acount disabled ? is ther any grace period ?

Any link to document talking about password expiracy mechanism are welcome

I previously posted in the wrong forum, I hope i am now at the good place.

I am running tools release 8.96.
I know there can be differences between tools release.

I should force a password change. There is Administration Guide provided with Tools 8.96 provides reasonable documentation - though you may have to seach a bit, I did not find it that intuitive.

I searched the admin doc without great success. I also open a case at Oracle service desk but got limited information.

I found the following definition:
• Password Change Frequency
For a given user, this option determines the maximum number of days before the system requires a password
change.

Oracle people said that in 8.96 User account gets disabled when Password change frequency limit is reached.

But I do not find any doc describing this process. I do not find any doc stating that at the end of Password Change frequency period the accoutnis disabled.

So if you know any other source of information. i'll be grateful.

The system will notify a user 5 days prior to password change
expiration. If a user does not change their password within this time
frame they will not be able to login and the password and/or account
will need to be reset.
