Media object viewer problem with Microsoft products

Hi,
When we try attaching objects like Word, Excel as a URL instead of an OLE object the output that is generated is garbage. This happens only via HTML clients. The same URL functionality will work on Fat clients.
Is there something that i need to do to make it work on HTML.
PS - I cannot use OLE due to a specific business requirement

What Tools Release are you on? We have the same issue. Unfortunately, the Oracle workaround is to use OLE attachments instead.

Beleive it might be resolved in newer Tools Release. We're on 8.96_D1 and can replicate this issue.

Yes a tools upgrade solved it. We were on 8.96.E1 and were having this issue. Just yesterday we upgraded our test instance to 8.96.I1 and the functionality is now working
