Is it just on this FAT client or does it happen on any FAT client?
Is your network connection stable? (run a consistent PING to your DEP server and make sure the 'time' is reasonable - should be under 100ms in most cases).
Are your ENT server, DEP server and DB server on different physical systems?

This might be a "given", but you don't have any Anti-Virus running on the machine you're installing to during the install, right?

My builds and installs were taking about that long, and were drastically reduced when I disabled the client auto-scan during the build/install.

Try creating a test update package with a single application [say P01012] and check how much time it is taking. Sometimes if you have lot of event rules involved it takes time. Try working out with the deleloper if that is the case.

We had a similiar problem just a few weeks back on our 2 development clients. The indications I received from JDE was that the package.inf was corrupt. Truth be told we were not able to correct the problem until we just uninstalled and re-installed everything on the client side. Updates on the citrix side of things were just fine. It was just on the client side. Just to be clear, all of our packages were slow....even full packages. We had no choice but to just uninstall JDE from our client and start over.

The only thing I remember that was different in recent activity was that we did a planner update (I think PG5411). Have you done a new planner recently?

I had this issue long ago and I got it solved by:

a) Turning off my antivirus (Mcafee)
b) Checking 'Disable system restore'. Go to 'My PC' icon, right click and select 'Properties' then go to 'Restore system' tab and there you are. It may take a while.

My Operating System was Windows XP SP2 with a XE Fat Client.

Hope it helps.
