André,

Your system config is very important to diagnose and suggest a fix for your problem. Please provide it to help us help you - it will take a lot of the guess work out and can save time wasted chasing up an entirely inappropriate suggestion/fix.

I'm guessing your user is using a fat client - probably Xe. It has been a while since I used an Xe fat client - apart from admin/development in E811, but in one of the menus (File menu if it is still the same as the fat client in E811) at the top of the main JDE menu screen, there is an option to save settings on exit. This is probably not checked. Check it, then settings, including user overrides like grid formats will be saved on exit and will be available next time the user logs in.

I am having similar problems in Xe, but in the Web Client. Where is the setting for "Saved User Changes" ?

Walleye,

The web client is an entirely different animal. There is no switch (as far as I'm aware) for saving settings on the web client. The user overrides (eg grid formats) are saved automatically even if the user does not change anything. So if any public user overrides are changed, for them to take effect on the web the corresponding user overrides for the individual user(s) need to be deleted. I hope this helps.

The auto save is not working.. I create the custom grid, exit the app.go back into the app and the custom grid is gone.

Walleye,

As I mentioned earlier, it has been a while since I used Xe. However, what I described regarding user overrides is what I remember. I did test to see if it works the same way in E811 and it does.

Which probably means you have a problem. So some questions are in order it ascertain the extent of the problem:

1) How many users have this problem? - one, some, all ...
2) In which environment is this happening?
3) Does it happen in an environment that uses a different pathcode?
