We used 8.9 version and 570 AS400.

Now the NETWORK in subsystem JDEB9 was always ended abnormally. Contact Oracle and no useful advise.

Here is the spool file I got on this case.

There is no such obj TQUEUE/R57 in AS400.

But I don't know why it occurred.

It makes me almost crazy.

After this occurred, we should fix many tables.

Help!!! Please!!!

What OS/400 (i5/OS) version

What JDE Tools release?

We can't help you if you don't help us.......add this info to your email signature!

Sorry and thanks a lot.

Here is the Q&A which between Oracle and me.

1. what kind of applications that Taiwan users use, but not used by other
sites?
Only one invoice print application which is implemented by the third party software(Actuate) will pick up data directly from AS/400.

2. when issue happen, the first user getting error on what application and
what error? This need monitoring. User should report the issue and give
screenshot and the IT guy should get the logs.
This issue only stops the JDE service NETWORK under subsystem thus the users who are working on the terminal server almost cannot meet any problem. But if some users try to login JDE they will fail.

3. The history log is very useful to determine when it stop. However we
dont see the reason given. Please check server jde.log (in IFS), there
should be some logs at about the same time as in history log, probably we
can get some clues on that.
Here is the log file during error occured.

4. about the jde.ini file, how come I see so many duplicate lines with the
one you attached, I am confused? Don't mind if you can email me the good
copy.
This INI file is copied from screen thus these duplicate lines must be manual mistakes.

5. is there any changes to the system somewhere around September - October
2006? Any kind of changes like upgrades to iSeries, EnterpriseOne,
Windows, etc? Or changes like jde.ini file, iSeries system change eg
system value, or user profile, job queue, etc?

6. When was the last time applying IBM PTF?
We almost apply IBM PTF every month and the two lastest were applied on 2007-2-19 and 2007-3-3.

7. When was the last time build package?
During whole period when this issue occured, we build

8. any night jobs scheduled?
Yes. We setup some night jobs just use AS/400 schedule job to submit JDE UBE.

9. so far it always end on what kind of timing, could it be during peak
hour when more users are in the system or probably when certain kind of
application being used by the users?
Not only during peak hour but also on sometime that only few users use JDE.

10. can you find spool file like QPJOBLOG for user profiles like ONEWORLD,
JDE, or other iSeries user profiles used for EnterpriseOne?
I exported spool file with user ONEWORLD for the latest error issue here.

11. how do you performed strnet, is it manually or calling programs?
We performed strnet from the JDE menu.

GO A98OWMNU

Each time we performed strnet we would clear IPC at first.

This is pretty clearly on the Oracle side where they are not forming a library name correctly before passing it into an i5/OS function.

Do you by any chance have Robot from HelpSystems installed??

We have started to receive this same error. I realize this post is old, but if anyone came across a resolution, please pass it on.

thanks,
Craig

I seem to recall something like this, and the answer was, in the [JDENET] section of the server jde.ini, to set maxNetProcesses to equal maxNetConnections divided by 50 and then add 1.
