Hello everyone.

I am encountering the following issue when attempting to run MRP on the
AS/400

The job clears the files. then runs for about 2 minutes more. I get the
following in the joblog
Pointer Not Set for Location Referenced.
It references B3400420 Line 22.

I looked at the knowledge garden they have the same error message that
happened when the OS was upgraded from V5R2- V5R3 . They tell you to install
the following IBM PTF SE20590 PTF SI18538 but I see nothing for V5R4 . Can
anyone help?????

Hi Barb,

Have you tried delete all of the *SQLPKG (except for Q*)?

Barb, Is your MRP problem resolved since I have the same issues in V5R3 even though we applied the PTF? David

Here is what I received from Oracle to finally resolve the issue.

This case is resolved based on the info in the AS400 job log showed a
pointer error in B3400420. Per a prior case, this issue was found to be a Unicode
issue. B3400420.h contains char not JCHAR. Client applied these changes to
their object and this corrected the issue.

This change was made manually as a SAR for this was not found. Client can
choose to manually apply these changes or could take latest ESU for B3400420
and then verify that B3400420.h contains JCHAR not char
