Anyone else seen this?

ISSUE:
Signing into WEB client on Enterprise One 812 (896) you get an error on the screen Unknown JAS sign on error has occurred, please contact system administrator
Error in logs shows the following:

17 May 2006 12:22:49,007 [SEVERE] - [JDBJ] com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 812. java.sql.SQLException: [Microsoft][SQLServer 2000 Driver for JDBC][SQLServer]Login failed for user 'JDE'.
17 May 2006 12:22:49,007 [SEVERE] - [JDBJ] com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 812. com.jdedwards.database.base.JDBException: [DATABASE_CONNECT_FAILED] Database Connection failed for DataSource System - 812.

SOLUTION:

Profile for JDE userid or proxy user has become corrupt, and is not being read correctly by the web client.

From a fat client developer workstation turn off security server in the JDE,INI and sign into the system.

Go to P98owsec, and bring up the JDE profile.

Delete and recreate the JDE user profile, and also the proxy user id for JDE.

Exit your workstation, and then turn back on thesecurity server entry in the JDE.INI.

Verify you can sign into the system on the fat client with security server turned on.

You should now be able to sign into the web client.
