812 backslash problem in PO

hello list,
i am having an annoying problem at one of my clients. The client is running 8.12 8.96.D1
Every time we go into the processing options of any reports on the web, if there is any backslash in one of the PO values, there are 2 backslashes now. If there were 2 backslashes, now there will be 4.
This is annoying because users will look at PO and then click ok, saving the extra processing options.
(e.g. C:\test will become C:\\test)
as you can see, reports are having problems with this behaviour and stop working
This is NOT occuring on fat clients, only on web clients...

I looked on knowledge garden for solutions or SARS but was unable to find any

I had a similar problem with the ampersand (&) many years ago. It was
eventually found to be a "bug" with that specific release of the
operating software / database and nothing to do with JDE at all. Maybe
that is where you should start looking?

We have the same issue and we're on the same Tools Release as yourself. It is Tools related - issue is resolved in 8.96_I1.

Hi All,

I agree it can be resolved by upgrading the tools release, but is there any temporary solution for the same as we do not intend to upgrade the toolset for a while now and this is hampering our dail functioning badly. We are on 8.11, 8.95_Q1 by the way....
