JAS/OAS Load Balancing

Hello,
I just completed setting up two E1 JAS server (running Oracle Applicaton Servers) in our test network. We are running EnterpriseOne 810, Tool Release 8.96I1, Windows 2003 and SQL 2005.
The question I have is How do I load balance these two server ? What are my options regarding load balancing ? I have looked in KG but so far I have not been able to find any documentation regarding load balancing. I did find one menuel (EnterpriseOne Web Administration 8.9 PeopleBook for WebSphere 4.0), but nothing for the release we are running.

Any suggestions very much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

The easiest strategy, quite crude (but works well on a
small environment) is to use DNS Round Robin.

What version for OAS are you running? Also, what type of licensing to
you have? OAS has built in 'load balancing' if you install it correctly.

More info and the solution could be very simple.

Re: RE: JAS/OAS Load Balancing

We are running Oracle Application Server 10G R2(10.1.2.0.2), not sure about the licensing.

Re: RE: JAS/OAS Load Balancing

Try with WebCache load balancing mixed with OC4J balancing

Re: RE: JAS/OAS Load Balancing

WebCache is an Oracle Application suite component. It allows you to cache, compress and balance information over classic EnterpriseOne architecture http+OC4J. this is a clusterizable component (not hardware but software cluster). so you can configure two different server with Oracle WebCache component to manage information from and to EnterpriseOne Application server (JAS).
I attach a very interesting document that explain main feature about WebCache
Don't esitate to ask me other information
