8.12 install Solaris 9

Hello all,

I am currently trying to run the Platform Pack for 8.12 on our Solaris Enterprise Server. I have a question though. I created the jde812 user, but the guide says to log in as root to install the platform pack. Is this correct, or do I need to run the install logged in as jde812?

Hi,

I ran the same install on AIX 5.3 and you need to be
logged as root to run the E812 Platform Pack setup.
The setup will create all of the users (including jde812),
databases and pathcodes according to the options you choose

I was able to get it to run as root... Hopefully I won't run into many issues (yeah, right!).
