Getting joblogs every time you sign on

We recently upgraded from an AS/400 running V4R5 to a new system running V5R4. JDE World 7.2 CUM12. The problem that we are having is that no matter how we change the default job description, the system generates a joblog. This is not a life or death problem, but I have some users that are getting peeved that they have to delete a job log from every session that they start. Is there a setting in JDE that over-rides the default job description?

Thanks for the help

danwhite,
I'm not at V5R4 yet so I'm just trying to learn more.

WRT preventing a joblog from being creatd--if you use WRKJOB on an interactive job and display its job definition attributes, do the jobd and logging level match what you've changed? Did you use logging level (0 50 *nolist)?

If the joblog will always be created--do you send the QPJOBLG files to outq QEZJOBLOB (and the QPPGMDMP, QPSRVDMP, & QPBASDMP files to QEZDEBUG) and use the automatic cleanup options for the files to be deleted after 1 - 366 days or do you *KEEP the logs?
