E1 8.11 Tuning & Performance

Hi, We are setting up an E1 environment Rel. 8.11sp1 and Tools 8.96 on an AS/400 with an Intel Web server running Oracle 10g App Server. So far this has been a basic set up and the response times (initial web logon specifically)have been awfull. Does any one have any tuning or performance tips for this kind of environment?

hope the beaches are not too cold....

Whenever I get extremely slow response on logging in it prompts my memory to go and re-analyze the tables (in Oracle) - not user what the equivalent is on the AS400.

Once I re-analyze my tables (especially after a full generation) the speed picks up considerably. As you may remember I hate AS400's and therefore avoid them like the plague (where possible).

Hope this helps and you can decipher into black box speak.
