0064 Prior End Balance Forward Invalid

I know this is probably a simple fix but I can't find the answer in the manuals or searching the forum. Here is the problem my user is running a sales update and they continue to get the above captioned error. My suspicion is the fiscal date for the company is the issue. It is set at 1/1/07 and the transactions are coming in with a date of 12/14/06. Is there a way to get around this. Thanks for your help.

Your suspicion is correct, Change back the period to dec 06
instruct users to log out and log in after changing the period and excecute updation, Hope this will work

Careful though. This will change the balances in Dec 06. If you've
finalised your reporting for that month this may be a very bad thing.
Get signoff from the accountants before setting the date back to post.
