Hi

i just want to know if is there any way around using JDE and citrix Without adding them in the local Admin group.

i already know that we can tweak the registry to add permission but every time we update or full, we have to tweak the registry ...

here is my system
Windows 2003
Jde oneWorld ERP 8 (whatever MF is dosent matter)
Citrix Metaframe Presentation 3.0

thanks All

For my Citrix setup I did not give my users admin rights on the machine, what I did are as follows....

1. Created an AD group for all Citrix Users, that way users are added to that group and that group has access to the published app.

2. Added that group to the Remote users group

3. Gave everyone and the Citrix users group access to the JDE security files on the root of the server

4. Gave the JDE Citrix users group access to the B:\ folder and all sub directories

5. gave the group full access to every hive in the registry

6. Then I used local policy to hide the C and D drive so that no one can see them.

So far that has been working really well for me.
