I am trying to follow peoplesoft instruction for installing an ODA driver without Fat Client (Solution ID # 200821229):
"Customer can install the ODA driver by copying the jdeowoda.dll file found on any fat client install inside B7\system\bin32 to the workstation where you want the ODA driver to be installed and then run the command "regsvr32 jdeowoda.dll" from the command line to register the DLL with Windows. Next check the ODBC DSN tab to see if the driver has been registered and finally test the driver by pulling some data from Excel for example. Please note that this is not an official way to install the driver, therefore the procedure has not been tested, and it is not supported."
When I do the regsvr32 command it fails saying it can not load the library on a Windows Xp machine. I've tried loading the dll to various directories with no sucess. Has anyone done this sucessfully? If so you can please tell me how to make it work! Thanks!
