My problem is that I have pdf file as Media object attachment and I want to read the contents of this pdf and print them in the UBE like Pick Slip (R42520) or Pack Slip

Example : I have a grid with 10 rows, each has a pdf media object attached to it, now when the report will run, I want to print the content of pdf files (media objects) in the report corresponding to each row.

Please see if you can help me out in this problem.

I don't think it's possible to read the contents of a PDF through the event rules of a UBE.

Could you ask your users to enter a text attachment instead?

The rule for printing media objects in a UBE are:
1) You can't print attachments of any kind.
2) You can't print formatted text. The text that displays online is viewable in RTF format, but UBE's strip all the formatting and print only plain text.

This is why there is still a market for third party printing solutions. Even for them, attachments are problematic. How do you control page layout? What happens when a user attaches a multi-page attachment? Shudder.
