Machine Specific logon

Hello All,

Have installed Prototype Pathcode on Windows Terminal Server. Users =
logging onto Terminal Server should only be able to log on to the WPY7333 =
environment and not on the PY7333 environment.

I could only specify the WPY7333 environment in the User Profile but it is =
possible that users swap from citrix to flat client.

How do I set the possible log on environments for one machine specific??

Best regards,

Walter,
I am not a CNC guy (just a developer) and am also not experienced in Citrix/WTS issues so maybe my question will be a bit silly.

Is the Path Code different for the mentioned two environments?

If I am right, users can select only that environments at logon time which are granted to them in their profile AND HAVE the SAME Path Code that is installed on the workstation (multiple path Codes are possible on the same workstation).

Hello Zoltan,

Pathcode is identical for boh environments. One of the few differences =
seems to be in the mappings for certain BSFN's. So defining this in the =
profile of the user/group is not an option.=20

One of the rumours is that corruption can occur when a citrix user logs on =
to PY7333 instead of WPY7333. Therefore I would like to make this =
inpossible on a Terminal Server.

Thanx for the reply anyway.

Walter,

A thing to try: environments allowed for a user are listed in F0093.
OneWorld determines where to get this table based on Sign-On environment
(listed in JDE.ini on client workstation or home directory, [DB SYSTEM
SETTINGS]) and OCM mappings. You can make a specific mapping for all of your
W* environments, point this table to a different DS (defaults to System) and
then make sure that when you install to WTS, you have a W* environment as
sign-on environment. Then you just copy this table to said DS, sign in from
WTS and change it. I have not tried this myself, but should be working just
fine. Not so pretty but workable solution.

DB/400 (mostly SQL); Wintel, HP, AS/400 (mostly Wintel)

PS: main issue here is to make sure that all user's jde.ini on WTS have a W*
sign-on environment and stay this way. By default, jde.ini will be copied to
WTS upon installation and copied to user home directory upon first use of
OneWorld. There was a plenty of discussion on list how to handle this
situation, i'm not a specialist in this area.
