Portal for Employee Self Service

All,

I am trying to determine the requirements for Employee Self Service. I have been told that it requires a Portal install, but I can find no information on this install.. Can someone please point me in the right direction??

I'm not sure which "install" you are speaking of. The MTR's for a portal installation are are on the normal MTR page for E1. The Websphere Portal Server installation manual can be found at documentation>e1>portal solutions>portals.

Yes, the ESS portlets (like P05PTLET and others) require either Collaborative Portal (rebranded WebSphere portal) or Oracle Portal (OAS). The latter may require a "portal provider" setup, if your app servers have to remain on WebSphere. All these are doumented quite well.
