We're migrating to 811. We have SP1 811 installed and working except that.... In a custom environment on our dev workstation in OMW Busbuild will not run.

Go to OMW, find the BSFN in a project (even a standard one), go to design, click Build Business Function and ...... nothing - no errors - nada.

Ok so far so bad. Same workstation, same user, same project, same object DIFFERENT environment, click the button and all is sunshine and light. Also the deployment server has no problem with either environment.

So......... What's happening? Anybody seen this?

Have you updated your Object Librarian for the custom environment?

I wonder if this issue is due to the 'infamous' BPM Broker values in the registry. I've seen it cause issues with the Debugger in 8.10.

Can you be a bit more specific about the OL please? To clarify. We created the environment with Environment Director - it's basically PS plus ASUs from 3rd party co.s in the UK. The Dep server has no problem and the workstation has no problem with other object types. The only thing that won't play (so far, we haven't got to debugging yet) is running the BusBuild.exe from the OMW Design screen in this particular environment.

Problem Found

<humility> "Somehow" the DEVELOPER Y/N flag on the environment record had been set to N and this was causing our problem. Setting it to Y fixed it. </humility>

Thanks for the reponses and if anybody else falls foul of this at least there's a resolution recorded now. <mutter> which there wasn't on customer connection. and while we're at it some sort of error message on screen would have been nice </mutter>
