memory pools

It does not make sense to create multiple memory pools if you are leaving the performance adjuster turned on (qpfradj=3) unless you are just monitoring it now in order to decide where to slate the memory when you turn the performance adjuster off. The only way to keep memory at allocated levels / pool, you have to turn the performance adjuster off.

I seem to remember responding to this on the CNC forum, but I'll say it again. Perfadjuster (autotune) should only be used for trial and metric gathering. It is recommended that the E1 subsystem as well as the PJ's be in their own pools. This of course is optimum, but certainly depends on processors, main storage, and other application needs on your specific iSeries.
