JDE questions

Hi

Apologies for what may be a simple post, but i'm having issues collating some information -

A customer has JDE Enterprise One 8.9 running on a Windows server with SQL. What is the difference between this and JDEdwards One World?

Also, as they are running Enterprise One, does this have SOAP, JMS connectivity? What about the ability to export to CSV?

thanks in advance

Hi,

JDEdwards EnterpriseOne and OneWorld are exactly the same.
It allows you to communicate via XML (however I don't have
experience on that subject), and to export CSVs.
I never heard of JMS, can't confirm you that.

Regards

Thanks for that, i'm not a JDE fluent person and have had some connectivity questions asked of me.

JMS is Java Messaging Server, some ERP apps can use JMS for connectivity to the databases.

There is a buddled product with JDE ERP called WSG (Web Service Gateway), which is, under the hood, webMethods Integration Server. It's a Java-based frontend for JDE's API to be seen as the WS format. Not sure how WSG is going to handle JMS connectivity; but it is worth checking.
